Histoplasmosis

Cryptococcosis
This is a very serious illness. It begins as a lung infection but can progress to the meninges of the brain causing Meningitis.
Campylobacter
Brought about by the contamination of food sources usually by corvids such as magpies which have been infected by carrion. This can result in extreme forms of gastroenteritis.
Salmonellosis
Often occurs as “food poisoning” and can be traced to pigeons, starlings and sparrows. The disease bacteria are found in bird droppings; dust from droppings can be sucked through ventilators and air conditioners, contaminating food and cooking surfaces in restaurants, homes and food processing plants.
E-Coli
Contracted orally by ingesting food or water contaminated with a pathogenic strain shed by an infected person or animal.
